Capstone is the surety underwriting division of National American
Insurance Company of California (NAICC). NAICC is ultimately controlled
by Covanta Holding Corporation.
Covanta is a leader in waste to energy production and is listed on the
NYSE under ticker symbol CVA. Covanta is a 3.0 billion market cap
company and has the necessary resources to stand behind NAICC.
NAICC, along with its subsidiary Danielson National Insurance Company (DNIC),
writes specialty personal automobile insurance exclusively in
California. Underwriting both specialty surety and automobile insurance
helps us withstand insurance market cycles and provide a future source
of capacity to our customers.
NAICC also operates Contractor
Business Resources (CBR) a funds administration operation . CBR is
used extensively by Capstone Surety and also assists other sureties,
financial institutions and general contractors with alternative risk
mitigation tools.
